Choosing to pay someone else to clean your home is often a smart decision, but deciding between a cleaning lady (cleaning person) and a cleaning service, isn’t always as easy.
Whether you have a ridiculously hectic schedule that leaves precious little time for cleaning, or simple despise cleaning and would prefer to use your time for other, more pleasurable activities, having someone else clean your home is a simple and highly effective solution that a lot of people can easily afford. But, would you better off with a cleaning lady, or a cleaning service?

Their level of training
Cleaning ladies are typically individuals who have taught themselves how to clean effectively, and while they might be great at what they do, they haven’t usually received any formal training. Professional cleaning services, on the other hand, are usually made up of people who have passed certain training standards related to the hygienic cleaning of homes, and specific rooms in the home. They will have been taught how to clean a home in the most logical and effective way, and will have a basic understanding of germ-control and domestic hygiene practices.
How much they charge
More often than not, cleaning people charge less for their services than professional cleaning services, although this can vary considerably from state-to-state, and from company-to-company. This is usually because individual cleaners use their clients own products and tools, and the client will also be responsible for any damage the cleaning person might cause while in the home, or any injuries they might incur while on the premises.

Their availability
An individual coming in to clean your home on a regular basis, is just as prone to falling sick or injuring themselves as you are, meaning that they need to take sick leave or endure a period of rest at the very least. While this isn’t their fault (and it certainly isn’t yours, either,) it can leave you in the lurch, which can be especially frustrating if your home gets particularly grubby, very quickly, or if you’re expecting visitors. The same can apply if your cleaning person decides to go on vacation, which of course, she’s perfectly entitled to do.
Professional cleaning services have teams of cleaners available every day, which means that someone will always be ready to come in and clean for you, as scheduled.
Ultimately, professional cleaning services are much more reliable than a cleaning lady, or person, and although they may charge more, what you get in return, usually makes up for that. The decision is yours to make, but if you want to be able to depend upon having a clean home, exactly when you want it, professional cleaning services offer the best solution.
